New Year, New Blessings

During the holiday season, we often make “new year resolutions” that we intend on accomplishing within the upcoming year. Sometimes, we can achieve them, and sometimes we may forget them. This year, I encourage you all to prepare for new blessings in 2022. Whether you desire to practice more self-care, obtain a new career, learn a new skill, make more money, purchase a home, etc., I encourage you to prepare yourselves for these New Blessings.

One of the things I’ve learned within my studies is the importance of making SMART goals. SMART goals are Specific,Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Bound. SMART goals will serve as a guide to help you prioritize and accomplish what’s important to you. Additionally, it can help to track your progress. The great thing about SMART goals is that they can apply to your short-term or long-term goals.

Take a look at the following example:

SMART Goal: “I would like to save $5,000 by the end of 2022."

This goal is a SMART goal because it's specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely.

Once you make a SMART goal, you can develop a plan to accomplish your goal. This may include incorporating something within your routine each day, week, or month. For instance, if someone wants to save $5,000 by the end of the year, they can save $416 a month to achieve that particular goal. Whatever your goal may be, it is essential to make a plan because "a goal without a plan is only a dream." As you write down your goals for the new year, light our "New Year New Blessings" candle, as it was made to promote readiness, inspiration and determination.

As always, I am forever grateful for each of you! Happy New Year & God Bless You!

Sincerely,

Lois
